DevOps Interview Stages Explained: What Happens on Each Step?

The DevOps interview process typically includes 6 to 7 stages.

Some of them are easy to pass. However, some of them could be stressful. In this article, I will cover those stages and explain what happens on each of them and what to expect.

This article is based on my own experience and the experience of many DevOps engineers who I was talking to during the last few years.

The DevOps interview process starts with the Initial Screening.

Usually it’s a short phone call with someone from HR, where they verify your basic qualifications, relevant experience, and salary expectations. HR will also provide you with a brief overview of the company and the role you will be interviewing for. The main goal of this call is to make sure that your experience and skills match the role requirements.

You should expect questions about the resume, work experience, reason for job change, and your availability.

The second step would be the Technical Screening.
